Life of becoming an "OKU".

Hola peepo! Am so sorry for not updating my bloggie these days because so many things had happened to me recently. Almost couldn't cope with it, but thank gosh I'm able to pull it off and I'm here, to update my bloggie! :)

Yeah, as my title said it all. I'm an OKU now. But not for permanent of course. Most probably for 4 months? Or maybe longer like 9 months. It all depends on my recovery progress.

Say hello to my 'chicken drumstick'.
All wrapped up prepared to cook? LOL!

Yeah, that's me on the wheel chair.

Sigh. It was Monday, where I was in Taylor's working as one of the orientation leader. It was an awesome day indeed as everything went on smoothly for the orientation. After meeting with Miss Faith and other OLs', it was around 5 something in the evening. And I'm so glad that the rain had stopped. Then, I switched from my formal heels to Flipper. I walked quickly to the car park as I don't want to stuck in the traffic jam back home. The incident happened then. I FELL DOWN FROM STAIRS WHILE I WALKING TO THE CAR PARK. If I'm not mistaken, I literally ROLLED DOWN from the first step I stepped until the end of steps.

I was shocked but I quickly stood up to reach for help from students. Luckily there were other students approached me for help. My both legs were non-stop trembling until I managed to calm myself down. Then I realized my left leg couldn't move at all. Once I moved, it hurts badly. And my toe on the left leg was bent to other direction. I was freaked out that time, like really FREAK OUT!

The worst thing was, I tried to call my parents but none of them picked up my phone. Not even my brother and sister. I was panic and in the end, I called my cousin brother for help. He came to Taylor's and sent me to Sunway Hospital. I did my X-ray and patiently waited for the results. My dad and brother came after that.

Initially, I thought the results would be OKAY. *I used to admit into hospital quite frequently, and the results were pretty okay.* But the doctor came to my bed, and showed me the X-ray. He told me that I had 3 broken bones on my left leg! And he told me I had to go for a surgery. All of us were freaked out as we never encountered such a thing in our life. I asked the doctor whether is there any other solutions rather than undergo an surgery. He said NO. Then I burst into tears because the feeling of entering the surgery hall is so scary and I don't think I can cope with it. He said there would be certain risks as there are not just 1 broken bone, but 3 broken bones.

After that, my dad decided to transfer me to Damansara Jaya Specialist Centre to ask for other opinions, and it's nearer to my house compared to Sunway. But the service in DJ Specialist Centre was really BAD. We waited for few hours, till midnight. And none of the doctors approached us although we kept asking the nurse for doctor. Since it's already midnight, and the doctor from Sunway Hospital already put me in a temporary leg plaster, we went home instead and consulted another orthopedic the next morning.

Luckily the orthopedic - Dr Lee said there's no need to undergo a surgery for my case because my broken bones are still in the same position and there are possibilities for the bones to grow back on their own. I was relieved once I heard what Dr Lee told me. So he admitted me to Hospital Assunta for 2 nights and put me in a leg plaster for 1 month as well as arranged some physiotherapy sessions for me too.

And now, I'm already discharged from the hospital and resting at home. There is pain on and off, and sometimes the pain is unbearable until I have to take painkillers to stop the pain temporarily. Also, my left leg would be swollen for a few months because there is tones of blood in it due to the broken bones. The blood has nowhere to go, but to accumulate in my left leg. It's so heavy and difficult to move using crutches especially. I TELL YOU, the crutches are darn hard to use weyy! My armpit hurts badly, and I couldn't move much as I have to use a lot of energy to move from one point to another point.

It would be a LONG process to recover as my leg plaster has to change from time to time based on my recovery progress. So basically, my sister in charge of taking care my daily life including moving from one point to another point, bathing, eating etc. I'm so glad to have a good sister like her, and I really appreciate what she does for me. Thank you love.

New Hyundai Elantra Review!

Just a few days ago, I had a weird dream. Well I guess it's a sweet dream? Because I dreamed of my boyfriend surprised me with a new car for my birthday gift. Maybe I watched too many car advertorials eh? My dream was almost similar to Nissan Almera ads. LOL! How I wish the dream was true!

So my parents thought of purchasing a new car recently, since my old junk Honda City is more than 10 years old. Haha! Too old to move eh? Since I'm having semester break now, I decided to help my parents to do some research on cars online. Initially I thought it would be difficult to get all those information about cars. I'm not a pro car lover, at all. I'm too lazy to visit car showrooms, get the brochures or ask the salesman for information. Then, I came across a website called Carsifu. The name itself already attracted my attention. It is basically a Malaysian auto website. Carsifu is Malaysia's largest car website with over 10,000 new / used cars for sale posted online all across Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Penang, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak.

The main page of Carsifu.
The car brands like Audi, Honda, Toyota, Perodua etc are all listed there.

My parents are kinda interested in Hyundai cars. The latest Hyundai Sonata & Hyundai Elantra are so stylish. So, I clicked on the Hyundai tab and I was amazed by the results shown on the website.

All the available Hyundai cars are listed on the website,
with basic information such as car descriptions, year and prices.

On the sidebar on the left, there's a column called Refine Cars, where the cars are categorized into their own name. This is so convenient to get the information of the car.

Note the side bar on the left.

Since my parents are interested in Hyundai Elantra, so I'm pushing my luck to check the website to see whether there is any Hyundai Elantra in a lower price range than the market price.

If you are lucky, you will get to find an Elantra which is cheaper than the market price from the results shown. There are other additional stuffs like freebies, low interest rate, extra accessories etc. Contact information are available on the search results as well. Pretty cool and easy right?

Otr price from RM 86,888
If I'm not mistaken, it's cheaper than the current market price.
Plus, they provide low interest rate and fast approval loan, with immediate stock and fast delivery.
Also available for bookings and test drive too!

Now, I get the information of Hyundai Elantra from Carsifu. You can do so too! So if you are looking for cars or you prefer more options, you can hop into Carsifu anytime, anywhere. Also, if you want to place a new car or used car on Carsifu, you are welcome to do so, it's FOC peepo!

Clean & Clear?

Woo hoo! One month left to Chinese New Year! I believe everyone here loves CNY right? Angpow, food, shandy & beer, family gathering, CNY decorations ... Arh, talking about this already making me on cloud nine now! I just can't wait for CNY to come! ANGPOW LAI LAI!!! =]

Basically, according to Chinese traditions, it's a must to have 大扫除 = Clean & Clear before CNY. Since my sister and I are both having holidays, and we got nothing to do at home, so we took initiative to clean and clear the house.

So, guess what we collected and going to dispose after we clean & clear for 8 hours eh? Well, since my parents are both teacher and principal, so my house has tones of books. You can't imagine how many books I have in my house. It's like when you walk to a corner, you will see a book rack of books, then when you turn around, you will see another book rack with books again. So, if you need any books or reference books, just come to my house! LOL! *just jk*

Books to be disposed.

Cacat stand fan and files.

Few boxes of books to be recycled as well.

My favourite mickey & minnie mouse rack!
It had accompanied me since I was born 19 years ago.
Not going to throw this away. Hehe! :)

Other rubbish to be disposed.

Now my house looks bigger and cleaner. At least there are less books eh? Gonna spend my other weekends cleaning and decorating the house as well as to bake CNY cookies! So, quickly clean & clear your house before CNY! It will make your house filled with CNY spirit and, HUAT ARR! :)

Words to be said in 2013.

It's the 11th day of 2013. The world is not ending yet and everyone grows one year older. Oops, I still have 11 months to reach 20 years old. The number 2 in front of the 0 seems so scary. Makes me look older now. I think I have to start purchasing anti-aging products eh? =P

2012, had been really cruel good to me. Thank you for giving me one of the most fabulous time in my life. My life starts changing to colourful colors, since I made a decision - To change my future route to Mass Communication (MC) instead of Science. I never know I could gain so much happiness since I switched to MC. Once I imagined, if I followed my parents' advice and sticked to Science for my degree life, I guess my life would be filled of stress, thinking of how to cope with exams, experiments and writing lab reports. I am really happy that I decided to go against my parents' will and pursue my dream, which is to venture into MC life. Although it is difficult at first, but I ain't regret of making that decision. At least I'm happy with what I did, am contented with what I have right now. I have a bunch of high school BFF and friends from my uni. All of them are so caring, lovely. And I know most of them are treating me really well. I know they sayang me a lot. Thank you lovelies! :)

Blogging, also add in a little more spices in my life. I never know when I first started to blog around Form 4 could influence me so much. It strengthens my MC route in future, and widens my social circle. I got to know so many famous bloggers in Malaysia by attending events and stuffs. Well, I'm not the type of peepo that can always attend events or gatherings due to my family restrictions and curfew, but I'm glad that I had a few of valuable experiences previously. Writing reviews and advertorials are my new love nowadays because I really love writing. I might not be good in writing as my vocab and grammar are kinda poor, but I'm trying to improve language by reading novels and write more. If possible, I would like to venture into journalism field too.

So 2013 is a brand new year for me. I'm thinking to have a make over for everything. Any suggestions? I've already re-paint and re-decorate my room. Most probably gonna re-decorate my blog template and header soon. What else eh?

I'm so gonna throw away the past and embrace the future! Hehe! :)

Responsible Blogging 2013

Previously, I blogged about the Wall of Pledge for Responsible Blogging. Feel free to read it here. Cheers! :)

"Responsible Blogging 2013 is a campaign calling upon the entire online community in Malaysia to rally for and support an ethical climate in the blogosphere for our mutual benefit."

There are a total of 9 pillars of Responsible Blogging.

1. Avoid Shortcut
Obviously, shortcut is not the best way to success. Success can be achieved through how much efforts you put into. So, put more efforts in your blog. Blog responsibly, and your readers will be able to see and appreciate your effort put into your blog.

2. Do Check The Verify of Your Information
You, represents your blog. And your blog represents you. Remember, wrong information in your blog will tarnish your credibility greatly. Eventually, the number of your blog visitors will drop as they do not believe the information found from your blog anymore.

3. Do Regard Your Readers' Opinions
No matter how strongly you hold onto a certain opinion, remember that there are other people who treasure their opinions like you too. P.S  Always blog with an open mind.

4. Do Be Aware of The Country's Copyright Law
Remember, do not copy, paste and publish content that are not your original ideas.

5. Don't Forget to Give Credits
If you share contents from other owners, do not forget to credit the rightful owner.

6. Do Know That You're Answerable for Your Blog
You might get carried away while blogging about an issue, but should when wrong information (by accident) was given, just apologize. Plus, it saves you the time and effort in defensing later.

7. Be Transparent with Sponsored Posts
Of course, you do not want to be branded as an ambassador for a certain company because you talk about that brand when you write sponsored post every time. P.S Be flexible and be friend to all.

8. Do Write A Disclaimer
You might get carried away with your strong opinions about an issue. However, if you work for an organization, it is better to include a disclaimer to protect you and the company.

9. Get Rewarded / Paid Ethically
You, as a blogger are ought to get rewarded in many ways but you are encouraged to get rewarded in ethical manner. Crowdpot provides the by far the most ethical approach to any sponsored blogpost. Do check out thumb-tipping.

Wall of Pledge for Responsible Blogging.

Have you guys heard of Responsible Blogging before? Well in my opinion, being a blogger doesn't mean that you can write anything in your blog. Yes, you own your blog, and it functions as your personal diary. But it doesn't mean that you can write vulgar words to insult people, to spread unethical contents and to judge people/things/events based on your own perception. Of course, no plagiarizing, harassment and  spreading of inaccurate contents in your blog are the main keys to responsible blogging.

So, what is Responsible Blogging?
Responsible Blogging 2013 is a campaign calling upon the entire online community in Malaysia to rally for and support an ethical climate in the blogosphere for our mutual benefit. This responsible blogging campaign is initiated by CrowdPot, a premium blog marketing platform that connects brands with blog publishers to create ethical sponsored blog posts. Crowdpot is a new platform that enables brands and business to engage with bloggers and the online community with their unique thumb-tipping mechanism.

Their goal is to achieve 1,000,000 engagements; 2000 Bloggers; 9 Brands. Stand up for Responsible Blogging, and all this, within 2013.

And what exactly is Wall of Pledge?
Wall of Pledge is a platform for online community to pledge their support for Responsible Blogging. Any Malaysian with a valid Facebook account are entitled to pledge. Wall of Pledge is presented by Ninetology. It aims to get 99,999 people to pledge for the support of Responsible Blogging. The 99,999 pledges is a culmulative part of their big goal of 1 million engagements.

And the good news is, for all of you who pledge will also be rewardedNinetology will give away 1 smartphone/tablet for every 999 pledges. 100 units of smartphones/tablets are available.

So, as a blogger, we all have the responsibility to practice responsible blogging. It is important to practice this because our blog are visible to anyone. We have to be responsible, not just to ourselves, but to our readers as well. They read your blog, because they are interested in what you write, the information from your blog is real and accurate, and they trust your words, trust the blogger by reading your blog posts whenever there's updates. We shouldn't disappoint our readers, by posting any untruthful or unethical contents in our blog.

Thus, let's support this Responsible Blogging Campaign. I’ve already pledge on the Wall of Pledge. You can do your part too, by pledging on the Wall of Pledge. Together, we pledge for our support for Responsible Blogging!

Christmas trip, to Cameron Highland.

It's 2013 peepo, but here I am, blogging something about Christmas. LOL! I know its kind of late to post something about Christmas, so I will just briefly write about my Christmas trip. Will put more photos instead of words. Couldn't resist from not blogging about this trip! Heee! :)

Hee, it's me!
Sleeping all the way from KL to Cameron Highlands.

Spot this awesomely beautiful view while we heading up to BOH Tea Plantation.

First group photo taken there!
Meet Justin, Louis, Jessie and Elaine! :)

With Elaine, so much love! :)

Spot us!
We were trying to climb up the hill. So tiring!

Yay! We finally reached BOH! Such a nice place to chill! :)

Best photo of the day!
Looks like the apple of my eye movie right? =P

Then we headed to second spot, the Mossy Forest!

Spot the moisture!

See how high were we?
Never know that Cameron Highland was so freaking cold!

I can't describe the coldness here, but it was almost like the temperature in Genting Snowworld!
Our bodies were trembling badly, and it was drizzling that time.

At night, we wore Santa hat and went for dinner in the city area.
The must have dinner there - STEAMBOAT!
Hot & Cold, the perfect combo! :)

The next morning, we went to Alex's tomato farm!

We had to travel around his farm using this Toyota truck.

Alex's brother, Sam.
He brought us around the tomato farm, so kind of him right?

Yours truly, in the middle of tomato farm.
The smell of tomato is so vivid in my mind now.
I don't know why it smells like MINT for me! Haha! =P

There are also 'kai lan' farm there!
So GREEN! :)

We were on top of here!
Above all those BUMBUNG that we usually see when we travel around Cameron Highland.

Sitting in this truck is my best time ever in Cameron.
So thrilling when we went up and down the damp + rocky route. Like an adventure! :)

And the fresh water from this pipe is so cold, so delicious to drink in.
I shall name this water as The Sweet Liquid! Haha! =P

At night, we went to the night market to get our strawberries, vegetables and other hot snacks like fried cempedak, fried mushrooms and fried potatoes! Best fried potatoes that I ever had in my life! :)

Having my Strawberry fondue there! Heee! :)

After that, we went back to our apartment and get our Christmas tree done before 12am.
It was my FIRST time to decorate a Christmas tree in my life.
Never thought of decorating a Christmas tree with my own hand in my life. Feel so contented at once. =]

The guys busy putting the lights on.

Yay, the tree is up finally, although the tree looks mini there! =P

Hehe, our presents were there!

With Santa's shoes!

Ignore our ugly pajamas. Haha!

It was my BEST Christmas in my life, as I never celebrate my Christmas with my friends. I'm proud to say I'm NO MORE A CHRISTMAS VIRGIN! =P  Had most of my FIRST TIME there, including 'drinking'. They taught me how to drink alcoholic drinks. And I was drunk, singing 我是一只小小鸟! LOL! * embarrassed* It might not a perfect trip, but the best Christmas trip ever! Am glad to know a bunch of friends like them. Merry Belated Christmas again! :)
