2 cents of my feelings.

I saw an old, skinny granny this morning. Her clothes were torn and dirty. She was humpbacked, and her face looked pale and helpless. I can see that she needs help from the way she walked along the road, pushing a big trolley with tonnes of cardboard papers, newspaper and cans. She couldn't even walk properly because the trolley is even much heavier than her. This moment while I'm writing this post, my tears dropped.

Where is her family, her children? They are supposed to take care of her. She is such a helpless woman yet still have to work at this old age. Did she eat everyday? Did the store keepers scold her for collecting cardboard papers and cans from the shop? Did they shoo her away? Really, I feel so sad. To be honest, I hate those people who does not care about the elders. No matter what happens, we should appreciate the contributions of the old folks. They contributed a lot for us. We are nothing, without them.

I thought of my granny whenever I saw an old man/woman. My granny passed away last year and I miss her, really much. I wondered, can my granny see me from heaven? Will she see me writing this post? Will she know that I do miss her very much? I respect her, appreciate her, love her with my whole life. The bonding between me and her, is unbreakable.

Forever, my granny.
I love you.

  6. There are many elderly who are out there facing the same situation. Maybe they just didnt wanna feel 'useless' because they are old. I pity them too, but it's better than those beggars I see...at least they are making a living rather than begging=)

  7. many more old folks out there who have to fend for themselves. its bad enough when their kids don;t care. but when society turns a blind eye...it only reflects a decaying society.

in some parts of town, you will find kids collecting the cardboards...
